1. PRICES & QUOTATIONS
The first price that Surgical Escapes will quote is a standard package/procedure price. The final price will be confirmed by Surgical Escapes closer to date of payment should there be any. Please note that the original price quoted may slightly change should your surgeon feel to change something that could be in your best interest. This could happen after your first medical examination/consultation once in Argentina or after you have decided to make changes to your accommodation/travel arrangements.2. RESERVATIONS & PAYMENTS
Due to the nature of our services we will need to make advance bookings & reservations. Once the client has agreed upon the services, medical procedure(s) and any other relevant accommodation and travel arrangements, Surgical Escapes will make the relevant reservations and fix the costs and quoted price of the package for 30 days (1 month). If the client decides to take the trip after 30 days, a new price will have to be quoted according to current prices if any. If the patient wishes to maintain the initial price but whishes to take the trip after 30 days (1 month) the client will have to pay the complete package before the 30 days (1 month) period expires. Once the relevant price, reservations, surgeon, procedure(s), accommodation and other services have been agreed upon, the client will have to make a payment/deposit of 25% (non refundable) of the package's total cost/price 30 days before date of arrival. Payment of the remaining 75% must be made 7 days before date of arrival. Payments should be made via a money transfer with Western Union (Argentina) or Bank Transfer (South Africa). After payment has been received confirmation of the receipt thereof will be forwarded to the client as proof of payment received as to avoid any discrepancies.3. EVALUATION & PLANNING
The client will be required to supply current medical records, pictures and any other related/relevant information in order for the chosen surgeon to evaluate whether the client is fit to undergo the procedure(s) required. Together with this information the client will be asked to choose and confirm his/her accommodation and travel options and any other needs and requirements so that Surgical Escapes could plan the trip.4. DISEASES & COMPLICATIONS
If the compulsory pre surgery check up/examination indicates that the patient suffers from a pre - existing condition or disease that may hinder the procedure but of which the patient had no previous knowledge:1) The patient will be informed about the medical condition and about the possible consequences/complications the procedure will have. Surgical Escapes and or any of its medical staff/surgeons have the right to decide whether to proceed or not should this have any negative effect(s) on their person or health.
2) The patient might have to pay an extra amount apart from the agreed price that will be used for specific analysis or for hiring other specialized medical staff should both parties agree to proceed.
3) The amount will be reimbursed if no extra costs are incurred.
Surgical Escapes will not perform any procedure/surgery that might have negative effects on the patient's health without taking all the necessary precautions.
5. CONFIRMATION, CANCELLATION & RESCHEDULING
Surgical Escapes will confirm by e-mail the client's complete itinerary 7 days before departure. If the client doesn't pay the remaining 75% of the package price at the required date, the reservations will be cancelled. Once the payment has been received the dates will be confirmed according to availability. There are no waiting lists.• Cancellation of the trip (30 days or less) before traveling
If the patient decides to cancel the trip after having paid the deposit only 30% of the deposit will be returned. Although, the client may use the amount as a credit. The credit will expire in 1 month.
If the client decides to cancel the trip after having paid the total package's cost the client will be refunded only 70% of the total amount paid.
• Cancellation of the service once in Argentina or South Africa
If the patient decides not to proceed with the procedure requested, he/she will be refunded the amount of the surgical procedure but excluding the full deposit and the expenses incurred.
If the doctor/surgeon advises the patient not to undergo the procedure due to medical reasons, all the expenses incurred until that moment that the doctor/surgeon makes the decision, will be charged and the rest will be refunded.
The refund excludes administrative costs of canceling the services the company may have incurred. The refund is subject to Argentinean/South African banking system/formalities.
The client will be informed in detail of the expenses incurred. If special supplies were bought (prostheses or bandages etc) the client can take them with.
If the client must postpone the trip due to personal reasons after the deposit was made, the client can reschedule. The original price will be fixed for 1 month from the date in which the trip was postponed, but once that period elapses, the package's price could be changed. The deposit will be kept and considered payment for any costs incurred up to date.
